We would like to alert our community to recent scam attempts targeting vendors. Individuals have been impersonating Discovery Harbour and Pumpkinferno in an effort to solicit payments or sensitive information. Please note:

  • Huronia Historical Parks only accepts vendor applications for events at Sainte-Marie, Nancy Island and Discovery Harbour through our official websites.
  • We are not requesting any payments at this time.
  • All email communication from our team is from an email address ending in @ontario.ca and not @gmail.com.
  • We do not accept e-transfer as a method of payment.

We strongly advise that you do not send funds or share personal information with anyone claiming to represent our events outside of our official channels.

If you are unsure about the legitimacy of any vendor communication, please contact us directly using the phone number or email listed on our official website.

If you receive suspicious messages or requests, we encourage you to report them to us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

Showcase your handmade goods, delicious creations, and original work to engaged visitors in an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere. Spaces are limited—apply now to be part of this memorable experience.

Application Criteria:

Please ONLY apply if you are a Canadian-based maker, artisan, or visual artist. It is required that all of our artisans are the creators and designers of their own products. We do not accept applications that include any buy/sell items or Direct Sales. Our events feature handmade, one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts and artisan made products. Once selected to participate as a vendor, you will be required to provide proof of insurance as part of your vendor agreement.

HOMETOWN HARVEST FESTIVAL

HOMETOWN HARVEST FESTIVAL – October 10, 11, 12 – 10 am to 5 pm – Apply by August 10, 2026
The Hometown Harvest Festival at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is a seasonal celebration that brings together local artisans, food vendors, fresh fruit, flowers and produce vendors, and the community to showcase regional products, traditional crafts, and autumn flavours. Set in an historic environment, the festival highlights heritage, culture, and family-friendly activities and welcoming atmosphere for visitors of all ages. , , Vendors must be present all 3 days of the event. Final location assignment is at the discretion of the organizer.

FIRST LIGHT

FIRST LIGHT Nov/Dec (Thursday to Sunday) – 5 pm to 9 pm – Apply by September 26
First Light at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is a magical winter evening event that celebrates the season with thousands of candles illuminating the historic site. Visitors experience the beauty of the past through candlelit pathways, live music, cultural performances, and seasonal food offerings, creating a peaceful and memorable holiday atmosphere. Vendors must be present all 4 days per weekend selected. Final location assignment is at the discretion of the organizer.

NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY

National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 2027 – 10 am to 5 pm
Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day in a vibrant outdoor market setting at Sainte‑Marie among the Hurons. We are inviting Indigenous artisans to apply and share their handmade, handcrafted products with visitors of all ages. This special event welcomes a large audience of school‑age children and their teachers, while remaining open to the general public. Vendors must provide their own tent, weights (no ground spikes permitted), and tables. The event will take place rain or shine, Join us in creating an engaging, educational, and memorable experience that highlights creativity, culture, and community.

SWEETWATER HARVEST FESTIVAL

SWEETWATER HARVEST FESTIVAL – March 2027 – 9 am to 5 pm
Sainte‑Marie among the Hurons is pleased to invite vendors to participate in the Sweetwater Harvest Festival, a warm and welcoming, family‑friendly celebration. This event features an indoor market, creating a comfortable and inviting space for visitors to explore. We are seeking vendors offering homemade food, baked goods, maple syrup products, as well as talented artisans, artists, and crafters showcasing handmade creations. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with families, share your craft, and be part of a festive seasonal experience.

    The following applies to all vendors who sell food/drinks of ANY KIND. Please check to confirm that you have read, understand, and agree.*
    I understand that I must also complete a Special Event Application through the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and return the completed application DIRECTLY to the Health Unit at least 14 before the start of the event.
    Acceptance requirements*
    If accepted, my spot will be held ONLY if all requirements are met before the deadline (insurance, fee payment, food permit, etc.)
    Attendance requirements*
    If accepted, I will commit to being present for the full weekend for which I registered for and understand that skipping days or leaving early will jeopardize my participation at future events.
    Insurance*
    I will provide my own insurance ($2,000,000.00 in general liability listing “His Majesty the King In Right of Ontario” as an additional insured), providing proof of insurance by the deadline.
    Promotion & Marketing*
    I understand that to help make this event as successful as it can be, it is part of my responsibility as a vendor to help promote the market leading up to the event using all resources available.
