Experience comfort and history with an overnight stay in one of our brand-new, four-season cabins—nestled beside the historic grounds of Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, along the picturesque Wye River.

These climate controlled cabins offer a rustic, inviting atmosphere for up to six guests. Step outside to your private firepit for peaceful evenings under the stars. Just a short walk away, you’ll find modern washrooms and full shower facilities for your convenience.

With hand-crafted furniture, indoor fireplaces, and views of the Wye River, these cabins offer a warm and inviting retreat all year round. There are currently three cabins available – Bear, Wolf, and Turtle – with more coming soon.

Each cabin includes:

  • Access to an on-site refresh station with fully accessible and modern washrooms, showers, and a water refilling station
  • Bunk beds (2 cabins) or a double bed (1 cabin) hand-crafted by Sainte-Marie’s carpenter
  • A double pull-out sofa
  • A hand-crafted custom bar top with stackable stools
  • Parking for one vehicle
  • Thoughtful lighting, power outlets, and charging stations

Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all guests staying in roofed accommodations (cabins) at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, operated by Huronia Historical Parks (HHP). By booking and staying in our accommodations, you agree to comply with the following policies:

All guests must maintain the accommodation and surrounding area in a clean and sanitary condition at all times. Upon departure, the facility must be returned to its original condition.

Guests can check in as early as 2 p.m. As gates are electronic and code operated, guests are welcome to arrive as late as required as long as they don’t violate noise policies. Codes for gates and cabin doors will be provided in your booking confirmation email.

Guests are asked to check out by 11 a.m. at the latest to allow us enough time to prepare for our next visitors.

To protect local ecosystems, no outside firewood may be brought onto Huronia Historical Parks property. If you would like to build a fire, please pre-purchase local wood through our online booking system (it will be delivered to your cabin) or visit our giftshop during operating hours.

All food, beverages, cooking equipment, and waste must be stored securely inside cabins or personal vehicles when not in use.

Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited on all HHP property.

Holiday weekends (May 1 – Sept 7): 3-night minimum including:

  • Victoria Day long weekend
  • Canada Day long weekend
  • August long weekend
  • Labour Day long weekend

Regular weekends (May 1 – Sept 1): 2-night minimum

Regular weekends (Sept 2 to April 30): 1-night minimum

Maximum stay: 14 consecutive nights

Full refund: Available for cancellations made 8 or more days before arrival.

Late cancellations (7 days or fewer): Charged one night’s accommodation plus a $60 cancellation fee (tax included).

No refunds or cancellations will be issued for early departures.

Drinking water is available at the refillable water bottle station in the Sainte-Marie refresh station by your cabin.

Water from the Wye River is not potable and should not be consumed.

Access the Wye River at your own risk. No lifeguards are on duty. For beach advisories, boil water notices, or fire bans, visit https://www.midland.ca.

Excessive or disruptive noise is prohibited at all times on Huronia Historical Parks property.

Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night.

All guests of Sainte-Marie are expected to:

  • Be respectful of others’ enjoyment of the park, day or night.
  • Avoid discriminatory, harassing, or abusive behavior.
  • Refrain from excessive noise or disruptive conduct.

Huronia Historical Parks is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal property, including personal vehicles (and their contents) parked on the premises.

First aid kits are available at the Sainte-Marie refresh station by your cabin and in the main Visitor Centre.

For all emergencies, dial 9-1-1.

Emergency contact numbers are posted in each cabin and shared washroom facilities inside the refresh station by your cabin.

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside all roofed accommodations and HHP buildings, including cabins.

Smoking and vaping are only permitted at Sainte-Marie’s designated smoking area which is approximately 9 meters from the parking-lot entrance of Restaurant Sainte-Marie.

All guests must comply with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act.

Alcohol: Permitted only within your designated roofed accommodation site, including your cabin’s outdoor seating area. Restaurant Sainte-Marie is also licensed to sell alcohol for consumption in their dining room and patio.

Cannabis: Medical cannabis may be consumed within your registered site. Smoking cannabis indoors is strictly prohibited.

All guests must comply with Ontario’s Cannabis Laws and the Smoke-Free Ontario Act.

Parking for one vehicle – located right next to your cabin – is included in the cost of booking your roofed accommodation.

Additional vehicles will be required to park in the main parking lot at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, outside the fenced cabin area.

Registered guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors must be respectful of other guests and adhere to all terms and conditions above, including the code of conduct.

All visitors must park in Sainte-Marie’s regular admissions parking lot, outside the fenced cabin area.

Visitors must purchase admission to any HHP site and are only permitted within the park during the designated day-use hours. Guests are the responsibility of the registered campers when at the campsite/roofed accommodation.
